METHODOLOGY
Monostable operation (one shot) - Change the Resistor Box Values in Monostable Multivibrator
Step 01
The NE555 IC was connected to the bread board.
Step 02
The micro switch was connected to the bread board.
Step 03
The sixth pin and seventh pin were connected together by using jumper wires.
Step 04
The sixth pin was connected to the 47μF capacitor positive terminal by using jumper wire and negative terminal connected to the power supply negative terminal.
Step 05
The second pin was connected to the micro switch one terminal by using jumper wires and other terminal of the micro switch connected to the power supply negative terminal by using jumper wires.
Step 06
The 10kΩ resistor one terminal was connected to the micro switch terminal which connected to the second pin and other terminal of the resistor was connected to the power supply positive terminal.
Step 07
The resistor box one terminal was connected to the seventh pin and other terminal was connected to the power supply positive terminal by using jumper wire.
Step 08
The fourth pin and eighth pin were connected to the power supply positive terminal by using jumper wires.
Step 09
The first pin of the IC was connected to the negative terminal of the power supply by using jumper wires.
Step 10
The 0.1μF capacitor positive terminal was connected to the fifth pin and negative terminal was connected to the negative terminal of the power supply by using jumper wires.
Step 11
The output (third pin) of the IC was connected to LED with series 1kΩ resistor.
Step 12
Then, the power supply voltage sat to the 10V DC power and then press the micro switch, observed the operation of the circuit.
Step 13
After that, press the micro switch and start the stop watch simultaneously and measured the length of time for which the LED is ON. Recorded this value and repeat the procedure for two times and took the measurements three times.
Step 14
After that, the resistor box Value changed to 20kΩ to 100 kΩ and pressed the micro switch and start the stop watch simultaneously and measured the length of time for which the LED is ON. Recorded this value and repeat the procedure for two times and took the measurements three times.
