The Radiation resistance which is
responsible for the actual radiated power and the loss resistance is
responsible for the actual losses in the antenna.
Radiation
resistance is defined as the ratio of the power radiated by the antenna to the
square of the current at the feed point.

a resistance
nFor a half-wave dipole fed in the
center the radiation resistance is approximately 70 ohms
