•In
a radio transmitters not all the amplifier stages use same type of amplifiers.
•Amp
used in transmitters may be buffer amps , modulating amps or power amps.
•At
modulation stages normally non-linear amps are used at final amplifier stage
power amps are used most of other stages linear amps are used.
•In
addition to the linearity, fidelity and efficiency are other important features
of amps.
•All
these features are given by different types of amps and therefore amps are
class A,AB,B and C.
•Class
A &B AMPS have linear properties their efficiency is comparatively low.
•Non-
linear amps are non-linear in nature and they have the highest efficiency.
