If
you learn about cisco routing and switching firstly you should know basic
router modes?
Router> -------------------> user exec mode
Router>
Router>enable
Router#-------------------------------->privilege mode
Router#config terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Router(config)#
Router(config)# ---------------------------->global configuration mode
so there is nothing because there are no previous configurations in cisco router.
then i explan you how to erase previous configurations....
Router>
Router>
Router>enable
Router#erase startup-config
Erasing the nvram filesystem will remove all configuration files! Continue? [confirm]
[OK]
Erase of nvram: complete
%SYS-7-NV_BLOCK_INIT: Initialized the geometry of nvram
Router#
now router has ot any configurations yet....it worked as new router..
keep practice those things in cisco packet tracer..
i will see you with new cisco commands...........
Router> -------------------> user exec mode
Router>
Router>enable
Router#-------------------------------->privilege mode
Router#config terminal

Router(config)#
Router(config)# ---------------------------->global configuration mode
Today
I explain you how to view your cisco router history ?
Think
this is first time you got cisco router, you do not know who use this before
and you need to know what are the configurations done by previous.
Firstly
open hyper terminal or putty in your pc then come to the user exec mode….
Then
type “enable” and login to privilege mode…..
Then
type “ show history”
Then
you can see what are configurations done by before.
Take
the example and do it with packet tracer…………………………………………..
--- System Configuration Dialog ---
Continue with configuration dialog?
[yes/no]: no
Press RETURN to get
started!
Router>enable
Router>enable
Router#show history
enable
show history
Router#so there is nothing because there are no previous configurations in cisco router.
then i explan you how to erase previous configurations....
Router>
Router>

Router#erase startup-config
Erasing the nvram filesystem will remove all configuration files! Continue? [confirm]
