How router updating algorithm operate
for distance vector?
•Distance
is the cost of reaching a destination network.
•Vector
is the interface for the gateway, the traffic will forward to given destination
network.
•The
router calculate the cost for each routers in a network.
•Then
selects least cost path for each router on a network and advertised to
neighbors vector for that paths.
•Using
distance vector algorithm each router build it’s own routing table by using
vector and distance with their Ips.
•Then
discover the best path to destination form each neighbor.
